Meet The CEO

Brown is a former Bellport High School graduate who is currently a professional basketball player overseas. Rich gives back a great deal to his community in Bellport, New York by running various basketball camps and clinics for the youth in hopes to inspire the kids to rise through adversity and always work hard as anything is truly possible with Brown himself being living proof. As a troubled student who as a freshman in high school failed every course, Rich overcame his struggles to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from SUNY College at Old Westbury with his self- proclaimed DDDS formula which stands for Determination Desire Dedication Success. In 2014, Rich achieved his lifelong dream of playing professional basketball internationally and also launching his first business, All About Ball. All About Ball started as a local brand in which he sold apparel and ran camps & clinics as well as men’s leagues. What started in 2014 with 13 kids has now blossomed in 2022 to over 450 kids that have passed through the All About Ball program with many going on to college to excel. In 2015 Rich partnered with an overseas manufacturing company and launched a sneaker line “RB1”which sold out over 10,000 pairs produced. In 2016 Rich launched the Rich Brown Academy which is both an academic and athletic program that tutors students as well as trains them for athletic performance. Rich has been playing overseas for the last 8 years in 3 different countries (Spain, Australia, Costa Rica) and has launched successful programs in each country he’s played in. In 2018 Rich was named an Athletic Director at Campestre High School in Costa Rica and was vital to the schools academic and athletic performance. In 2020 Rich launched a streaming company The Give Back Network Inc. The Give Back Network was created to give back and spread love to the community by providing healthy, educational and entertaining content and the free streaming site will now be the official partner and provider for all future AAB sporting events. Rich and the AAB team will be dedicated to launching multiple projects in 2022 so please stay tuned for all future announcements involving All About Ball.

All About Ball Owner Rich Brown (RB1) since 2013 with the partnership of the Boys & Girls Club of The Bellport Area has been running various youth basketball camps and clinics.  Brown has also taken his skills abroad and has hosted camps and clinics overseas.  Brown is on his way to making his company, All About Ball, a worldwide entity.

Recently on the school holidays, my son participated in a 3 day Basketball Skills Camp which was conducted by Coach Rich Brown. Coach Rich not only enhanced the kids skill level with fundamentals and the running of drills, but he also made sure all that took part had fun, which, as a parent is the most important thing for childrens sport. At no stage did the kids look bored or showed a lack of interest. The ages ranged between under 10s up to under 16s. Coach Rich had all involved at all times so that no one was not participating. As a coach myself, I was able to take away some of the things Coach Rich taught and am now using them in my own coaching methods. I have no hesitation in recommending Coach Rich to any basketball player, of any age or level, and can only wish him all the best and hopefully be able to participate in further programs as a parent and a student. 10/10.... thank you Coach Rich-Jason

My Son Alfie hadn’t been playing Basketball long, to help him have a better understanding he started attending Basketball clinic on a Saturday and very quickly had an understanding of the game and rules thanks to Rich’s patient approach and to explain things to age appropriate. So impressed with Rich’s Saturday clinic I signed Alfie up to the Basketball holiday camp that Rich was running in the school holidays. 

 I went to Rich Brown's basketball clinic and stayed to watch the whole three days. his talent for teaching kids is the best I have seen they respond well to him and improved out of site. There were kids that couldn't shoot a hoop and by the end of the three days they were shooting foul shoots.  I came from a basketball background and it tears me apart that my child and including other parents and children and schools as well as basketball are missing out on the  opportunity to keep unique skillful man.  Our Caboolture area needs his skills to help our children  not only with Basketball but with attitude and being apart of a team. The things he teaches our kids are dedication, discipline, desire, determination. My child can't get enough of Rich Brown's basketball lessons and I know from talking to other parents that their  kids were the same. His level of teaching skills for basketball is unique and are not easily accessed cause there is no one with his ability we need him to stay in Australia for our basketball  program. -Nicola

I HAVE WITNESSED RICH WORK WITH PLAYERS, NEW AND EXPERIENCED FROM THE AGES OF 5 TO 18 THROUGHOUT SCHOOLS, HOLIDAY CLINICS AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS.  RICH HAS CARRIED OUT THIS ROLE TO A HIGH STANDARD AND IS RELIABLE AND DEDICATED TO THIS FIELD OF WORK. 

Rich has demonstrated great initiative in getting programs up and running and interacts with players/students well. Young players here at Caboolture Basketball look up to Rich and always take on board his advice and tips.  Rich not only helps players develop their game, but also relates to them as players and people.

 The holiday camp was amazing value for money, was fun but also disciplined. There was many ages from 7 through to teenager. All kids got involved and encouraged each other and with Rich’s knowledge and continuous encouragement with the kids I saw a massive improvement from start to finish in the kids basketball.-Lauren
